Root Hill Youth Camp 2015

We are really looking forward to our Root Hill youth camp which runs Saturday 22-29 August. Root Hill farm is set below the beautiful Surrey Hills and over more than twenty years of meeting there has come to hold some special spiritual memories for those who have been.

This year our main speaker is Steve Dennis. After spending a number of years making gadgets for mad professors, Steve began training for ministry in 2008. Since then, he has worked at Limes Avenue Baptist Church and began serving at Grace Baptist Church Edlesborough in June. Steve will be taking us through six sessions on 2 Peter, at 7pm on Sunday evening and 10am on weekday mornings.

Prof. Stuart Burgess is speaking on Monday evening at 7:30pm on ‘The Uniqueness of man.’ Stuart is Professor of Engineering Design at Bristol University, and is pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Trowbridge. At the end of this year he leaves there to work full-time with Creation Ministries International. He speaks widely in Britain and America on issues relating to creation, and is the author of a number of books.

Andrzej Kempczyński is speaking on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm.. Andrzej and his wife Monika are planting a church in Legionowo, a town of 51000 people north of Warsaw in Poland.

David Skull is speaking on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm.. A former UCCF staff-worker, David is Co-pastor of Chertsey Street Baptist Church, Guildford.

Adam Laughton is speaking on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. Adam was pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Southport before moving to Gravesend to head up the Gateway Project, an innovative church-planting scheme seeking to start a network of house-churches.

Matt Gamston is speaking on Friday evening at 5pm. Matt served for eleven years as a missionary in the Philippines, and has now returned to join the pastoral team at his home church, Trinity Baptist Church, Gloucester.

There is still room for a few late bookings, using the online form here

If you want to come as a day visitor to any of the camp ministry sessions, feel free to come along. We love having visitors from local churches.
