For the growth of the gospel in a country where the evangelical presence is tiny.
For the unity of gospel Christians in their witness and work together.
For new missionaries who can partner with Polish nationals in planting churches in
the numerous towns where there is no gospel witness.

EVANGELISM AND CHURCH-PLANTING
A Communist state for over forty years, Poland became a democracy in 1989, and joined
the EU in 2004. Much of Poland’s history is defined by tragedy and war. Poland is
staunchly Catholic, and the beatification of John Paul II in May 2011 has made him
effectively the patron saint of Poland. Evangelicals are a tiny minority, and evangelical
churches are thin on the ground. There is a huge need for church-planting, and to
put in place the infrastructure of Christian literature, training and Christian conferences
that Christians in other countries take for granted.
